The Structural shapes earlier didn't support solid obround or elliptical shapes. Addition of such shape types would reduce need to use feature modelling to create members with an elliptical cross-section. The extended Solid Shapes Structural Types introduced in the section types, now support the need of placing columns with half-circle or half-ellipse ends, at stadium, parking or transit structures.
